Now, whether you’re thinking about re-decorating your house as we enter into the cooler months or you just want to add a few little touches to give an Autumnal feel, here are some tips!

COLOUR SCHEMES

Autumnal colours are usually reflected from what’s outside – so think oranges, yellows and red. Try and incorporate some metallics like gold and bronze as well to give a warm feel. There are a number of ways that you can add autumn colours into your home, without needing to totally redecorate. It can be done through simply changing the colours of things like some picture frames and lampshades, or adding a few throws and blankets to your sofa. However, if you’re looking something a little extra with your home décor, you could consider adding a feature wall for example with a floral design.

WINDOW DRESSINGS

Window Blinds come in a large variety of styles, materials, fabrics, shades and colours, so they are a great way to add a little Autumnal feel to your home. If you have a conservatory, this time of year is the perfect time to add a little Autumnal sparkle to you conservatory! By changing up your conservatory blinds with some warm oranges, and draping them in some deep red curtains, you can make a huge difference to the feel of the space.

SOFT FURNISHINGS

Many people are unaware of the affect the things like bedding, curtains and pillows have to your home. Curtains can be seen as the centre focus for your room and can be very easily adjusted at this time of year. Switch your bedding to darker shades like maroon, or burgundy.

Halloween is always a big event during Autumn! So why not step into it properly by adding a vast amount of temporary decorations that can be added to your households quite easily. You can try carving some creative designs into pumpkins and put them in the windows etc.
